Learning objectives
At the completion of the session participants will be better equipped to consider the possibility that their next patient may have experienced complex trauma.
The webinar will:
- Raise awareness of prevalence and indicators of complex trauma
- Identify the key principles for effective assessment and management of mental health issues for people with complex trauma
- Assist recognition of the challenges and opportunities of interdisciplinary collaboration in the provision of mental health services for people with complex trauma
Format
The webinar will be comprised of three parts:
- Predisposing activity (case study)
- Facilitated inter-disciplinary panel discussion
- Questions and answers
Predisposing activity
Participants will be required to read the short case study upon which the webinar panel discussion will be based:
