Overview
The live activity (webinar) will be comprised of two parts:
- Facilitated inter-disciplinary panel discussion
- Question and answers
Predisposing activity
Participants will be required to read the short case study and view the short video (6 mins) below. The webinar panel discussion will be based on these.
Psychosis case study - Mark*
Please note:
- Mark is not his real name. Consent has been granted to post the video.
- This video includes before and after interviews with Mark.
- The video is 6 minutes in length; comprising approximately 2 minutes of ‘before’ footage and 4 minutes of ‘after’ footage.
- 12 months real time had lapsed between filming of before and after.
Learning objectives
At the completion of the session participants will be able to:
- Recognise the phases of illness and disability requiring specific interventions and care in psychotic disorders
- Recognise the common core principles of effective mental health treatment of psychotic disorders
- Recognise the challenges and opportunities in providing integrated and holistic mental health services for people experiencing psychotic disorders.
