Description: Speaker bio: Jenny Forward has been working as the Refugee Migrant Liaison Officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) in the Social Work Department for over 4 years. She trained as a Social Worker (with Honours) at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) after living in Chile for almost 5 years during the end of the military dictatorship. After returning to Tasmania she also worked for the Immigration Department’s Translating and Interpreting Service for 9 years as a Spanish interpreter. She provides all the cultural competency training to staff at the RHH and for the Southern Tasmania Area Health Service as well as providing case-work.
