Topic: Borderline Personality Disorder – tips for diagnosis and management

Participants will be invited to submit questions prior to the meeting so that Stephane can tailor he talk to the areas of particular interest of the group.

Guest speaker: Dr Stephane Auchincloss

Dr Stephane Auchincloss is a consultant psychiatrist in private practice in Hobart, Director of Training for Tasmanian psychiatry registrars, and a Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Tasmania. She worked in general practice, is former Medical Editor of Australian Doctor, has a special interest in medical psychiatry, and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK).

Facilitator: Dr Emma Warnecke

Dr Emma Warnecke is a GP and Associate Professor in General Practice at the University of Tasmania. She practices in Hobart and is recognised by the RACGP as a specialist level 2 mental health GP. At the University of Tasmania she coordinates and teaches the General Practice rotations in Hobart and is also the Associate Head, Student Affairs for the School of Medicine. Emma has an academic and clinical interest in self-care, mental health and stress management. She was recently awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
