Speaker bio: Stephanie Crawford is the director of Stephanie Crawford and Associates Speech Pathology. She has over 10 years of clinical experience; in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders, working with children 0-16 years and their families. Stephanie's therapy has a family centered approach and focuses on the child's functional communication at home and community settings.
Topic: Pragmatics and the child with ASD Stephanie will discuss pragmatic language in a child on the Autism Spectrum. Areas covered will include why pragmatic language skills are important, assessment of pragmatic language skills and therapy for pragmatic language difficulties.
