PANDA Workshop: 'Anxiety, Perfectionism and OCD in the perinatal period'

29 May 2019  Mental Health events

'Anxiety, Perfectionism and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) in the perinatal period' is a one-day workshop for health and mental health professionals who work with clients during pregnancy and the first year of baby's life.
The workshop aims to help professionals understand the particular presentations and challenges of anxiety (including distressing symptoms such as intrusive thoughts), and OCD experienced perinatally, as well as perfectionism as a risk factor for emotional and mental health difficulties for expecting and new parents.

The workshop includes presentations from lived experience volunteers, a psychologist with
a particular interest in perinatal anxiety and OCD, the Anxiety Recovery Centre and a
presentation of learning and case studies from the PANDA Perinatal Anxiety & Depression
Helpline.
